Privacy Policy

Your private space matters.

This policy explains what Dewchat collects, why we use it, when we share it, and the choices you have. Effective June 22, 2026.

Your chats are used to support your session. Messages, check-ins, moods, guide choices, and journey activity help personalize responses and keep your progress available when you return.
We keep sensitive data limited to the purpose you gave it for. Dewchat is a wellbeing companion, not a medical provider. We do not sell your chat content.
You can ask to access, correct, export, or delete your data. Some records may be retained where required for security, billing, legal, or fraud-prevention reasons.
Important wellbeing note

Dewchat provides reflective, guided support and calming content. It is not emergency care, therapy, diagnosis, or medical advice. If you may harm yourself or someone else, contact local emergency services or a crisis hotline immediately.

1. Information you provide

We collect information you choose to give Dewchat, including your name, mobile number or Google sign-in details, onboarding answers, age or date of birth, gender, timezone, selected focus areas, guide preferences, chat messages, feedback, ratings, and support requests.

If you make a purchase, payment details are handled by the payment provider. Dewchat may receive purchase status, plan, price, transaction timing, and related billing metadata.

2. Information collected automatically

When you use Dewchat, we may collect session and usage information such as pages opened, journeys started or completed, audio or breathing tools used, chat duration, button taps, feature errors, browser or device type, app version, IP address, approximate location, and authentication state.

We may use cookies, local storage, session storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your session, support offline behavior, improve reliability, and understand app usage.

3. How we use information

  • Provide and maintain guided chat, onboarding, guide selection, journeys, reminders, and insights.
  • Personalize responses, content recommendations, focus areas, and return-to-chat experiences.
  • Save session history, usage summaries, and preferences across devices when you sign in.
  • Process payments, manage trials or subscriptions, and prevent misuse or fraud.
  • Debug, secure, analyze, and improve Dewchat.
  • Send transactional messages such as OTPs, account notices, receipts, and important service updates.
  • Create aggregated or de-identified insights that do not reasonably identify you.

4. AI and chat processing

Dewchat may process your messages and onboarding answers through AI systems and related service providers to generate responses, identify safety concerns, recommend journeys, and improve quality. Human review may occur where needed for safety, support, abuse prevention, debugging, or legal compliance.

Please avoid sharing information you do not want processed by Dewchat, such as government IDs, passwords, financial account numbers, or other highly sensitive details unless specifically requested for a clear purpose.

5. When information is shared

We may share information with vendors that help operate Dewchat, such as hosting, database, authentication, SMS/OTP, analytics, AI processing, customer support, payment, security, and email providers. These providers are expected to use information only to provide services to us.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, to investigate misuse, in connection with a business transfer, or with your consent or direction.

6. Analytics, ads, and tracking

Dewchat may use analytics to understand feature usage, reliability, and user journeys. If advertising or retargeting tools are added, we will provide required choices for cookies, targeted advertising, sale, or sharing where applicable.

You can limit some tracking through browser settings, cookie controls, device ad settings, or supported universal opt-out signals where required by law.

7. Retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide Dewchat, maintain your account and history, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, and improve safety. We may retain aggregated or de-identified data for longer.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or export personal information. You may also have rights to opt out of targeted advertising, sale, sharing, certain profiling, or limit sensitive personal information.

You can update some information in the app or request help by contacting us. We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No system is completely secure, so please use care when deciding what to share in chat.

10. Children

Dewchat is intended for users who are old enough to consent to use online wellbeing services in their location. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children where parental consent is required. If you believe a child has provided information without appropriate consent, contact us.

11. International processing

Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

12. Changes and corporate contact

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date and may provide additional notice for significant changes.
